DCSAA AND UNITED BANK TEAM UP ON STUDENT-ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The DC State Athletic Association, continuing its quest to support student-athletes, is proud to once again partner with United Bank to present $5,000 scholarships to five outstanding D.C. student-athletes.

The scholarships will recognize high school seniors who have distinguished themselves in the classroom, on the athletic field and in the community within the District of Columbia.

With the support of United Bank, the Community Bank of the Nation’s Capital, DCSAA will recognize these five outstanding student-athletes for the efforts they have made and the leadership they have shown.

“The DCSAA Student-Athlete Scholarship Program has been a resounding success, rewarding several of our top student-athletes for their tremendous impact,” DCSAA Executive Director Kenny Owens said. “We feel fortunate to have a tremendous partner like United Bank that shares the dedication to do all we can to help the next generation of leaders.”

To apply online for the 2026 United Bank Student-Athlete Scholarship, graduating seniors can visit https://www.tfaforms.com/5212998. Applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm ET on April 30, 2026, to qualify for the scholarship. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants need to meet the following criteria:

  • 0 minimum cumulative grade-point average.
  • Earned a letter in a varsity sport for at least two years.
  • Acceptance to an accredited college/university or trade school with enrollment on a full-time basis beginning no later than January 2027.
